When launching a new website it is essential to test it in across multiple browsers. \u00a0Unfortunately this also includes testing it on older versions Internet Explorer.<\/p>\n
Is it really necessary? \u00a0Yes. \u00a0While the majority of internet users are using modern browsers, there are still a number of users with older computers, normally sitting at home, who are still using old browsers. These consumers may not been technically savvy, but they still have money to spend, and may well be the target market for the client you’re building the website for.<\/p>\n
Some example screenshots are below, showing just how different websites can look in older versions of Internet Explorer.<\/p>\n
Internet Explorer 10 and 11 have an emulation function built in, to emulate Internet Explorer 5, 7, 8 and 9. \u00a0It’s very simple to use.<\/p>\n

As these screenshots demonstrate, it is still very important to check website designs in older versions of Internet Explorer, as there are many things that dramatically change, and sometimes make content unreadable.<\/p>\n
