While Star Wars VII is still just under a year away from release, Star Wars social media accounts are running rife with speculation. Everything and anything is being analysed as a hint as to what the film holds in store.

Take for example a video posted on the entertainment franchise’s Instagram page. An old commercial was posted which has currently accumulated over 21,000 likes and over 600 comments. Watch it for yourself!

AdWeek speculated on the importance of this commercial. They claimed,

With virtual reality (VR) seemingly ready to make a splash next year, one can only guess what Stars Wars may be able to do by combining outtakes and trailers with emerging VR headsets like Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR.

Twelve more months till we know for certain whether Star Wars has taken a new twist on movie production. For them it wouldn’t be the first time.
